Home Master is the filtration brand of Perfect Water Technologies, sold direct at theperfectwater.com and through Amazon. Its whole-house line uses oversized 20 by 4.5 in. cartridge housings on a steel bracket. The company's About page returned a 404, so founding year, headquarters and ownership are not verified and we leave them out.

We cover one product, the HMF3SdgFeC three-stage sediment, iron and carbon filter, which the maker markets for use with potable well water. It was $550 at theperfectwater.com as of Oct 2026 (regular price, no sale shown), and the same model has an Amazon listing.

What sets Home Master apart

A dedicated iron stage in a cartridge system. Stage one is a multi-gradient depth sediment cartridge that steps from 25 microns through 10 and 5 to a 1-micron core, finer than the 5-micron sediment stages on the iSpring WGB line. Stage two is a radial-flow iron reduction cartridge rated for iron under 3 ppm and manganese under 1 ppm, and stage three is a 20-micron radial-flow coconut-shell GAC cartridge rated for 100,000 gallons. Flow is up to 15 GPM through 1 in. ports, with no drain, electricity or backwash, and the maker says most families of four change cartridges about once a year.

The claims are the maker's. Perfect Water Technologies says the system removes up to 95% of VOCs, TOCs, herbicides, pesticides, iron and sediment, and its page says the filter also removes hydrogen sulfide but gives the acceptable feed level as none, because it shortens cartridge life. The product page shows a company-level NSF/ANSI 42 certificate that does not name this model, so we record no certification. The Amazon listing limits the unit to non-chlorinated well water and rules out iron bacteria and pH below 7.0.

Warranty is 2 years on whole-house systems per the product page, which also mentions up to 5 years without detail; that is double iSpring's 1-year standard but far short of SpringWell's lifetime tank terms.

When the HMF3SdgFeC is the right pick

It fits a well whose test shows iron under 3 ppm and manganese under 1 ppm, pH above 7 and no iron bacteria, where you want a 1-micron final sediment stage and cannot or will not run a drain line and power. In that band it competes head-on with the iSpring WGB32BM at a similar price and the same 3 ppm iron limit, with the longer warranty and finer sediment stage in Home Master's favor.

If the test shows more iron, a rotten-egg smell, or acidic water, cartridge iron reduction will cost you in replacements and a backwashing tank such as the SpringWell WS1 or the Matrixx inFusion is the better route. Treat the 100,000-gallon carbon figure as the pacing item for replacement, and put a coarse spin-down ahead of the unit if your well pumps sand.

Warranty

Whole-house systems carry a 2-year warranty per the product page.
