The Kinetico Powerline PRO PF 1054 PRO is an air-activated backwashing filter for iron, manganese and hydrogen sulfide that uses external air injection rather than a chemical feed. The 10 by 54 in. tank (the PF 1354 PRO is 13 by 54 in.) takes a choice of media: Iron Filter Media rated for pH 6.8-9, iron to 7 ppm, sulfide to 0.5 ppm and manganese to 0.5 ppm, or Sulfur Filter Media rated for pH 5-9, sulfide to 6 ppm, iron to 2 ppm and manganese to 0.2 ppm.

Service flow is 5 gpm (8 peak) for the 10 in. iron version, 4 gpm for the sulfur version and 7 gpm for the 13 in. iron version. The valve is programmed over Bluetooth and runs on 12-volt DC with battery backup. Kinetico names no certification standard for the Powerline PRO.

The Powerline PRO fits a well where you can match the media to the problem, iron-dominant or sulfur-dominant, and you want a dealer to size, install and inspect it every year. The trade-offs are a dealer quote instead of a price, 5 gpm service flow in the 10 in. size, the iron media's 0.5 ppm sulfide cap and no named performance certification.
