What sets US Water Systems apart
The inFusion's published limits. A Stenner pump injects hydrogen peroxide in proportion to flow ahead of a backwashing catalytic carbon tank, and US Water Systems rates the result for iron up to 20 ppm, hydrogen sulfide up to 30 ppm and manganese up to 1 ppm across pH 6 to 9. The maker also claims it handles iron- and sulfur-reducing bacteria. The cost is a consumable: the kit ships with a 15-gallon solution tank and 10 gallons of peroxide, and you keep buying it.
Every Matrixx tank shares one valve platform: Bluetooth 5.0 with the Legacy View app, one internal moving part, 12-volt operation and battery backup. Warranty on Matrixx systems is lifetime on the media tank (and the softener resin) and 10 years on valve and electronics; the inFusion adds a 5-year Stenner injection parts warranty and requires registration within 30 days. Everything carries a One-Year Money Back Promise.
Certifications are component-level: NSF approved components on the inFusion and carbon filter, and a WQA Gold Seal valve, NSF certified resin and NSF/ANSI 61 compliant tank on the softener, with no system-level NSF/ANSI 44 or other listing for any assembled system.
Which US Water Systems unit for your water test
Heavy iron or sulfur, acidic water between pH 6 and 7, or iron bacteria: the Matrixx inFusion, $2,982.95 on sale at uswatersystems.com as of Oct 2026 for the 10 GPM 081-MIF-150, or $3,179.16 for 15 GPM. It needs bypass fittings, a drain line and a 120 V outlet. On a milder well inside the SpringWell WS1's 7 ppm iron and 8 ppm sulfide limits, the single-tank WS1 is simpler to run.
Hardness: the Matrixx Smart Metered Softener, $1,295.95 on sale for the 35,000-grain, 10 GPM MXX-100, with 53,000-grain and 70,000-grain sizes up to 20 GPM. Its 10% cross-linked resin carries a lifetime warranty, but the maker itself says a softener removes iron only in small amounts, so pair it with an iron filter on an iron-bearing well.
The catalytic carbon filter ($1,325.50 on sale, 5 GPM base size) is marketed for chlorine, chloramine and VOC reduction and belongs on a well only as the polishing stage after a peroxide or chlorine feed, or for taste and odor on a clean well. The 3/4 in. spin-down ($71.95 on sale) is a flushable 152-micron grit trap for 3/4 in. lines with no parts warranty printed beyond the money-back promise.
