Cons

  • Not marketed as a standalone well-water treatment; maker positions it for chlorine/chloramine/VOC reduction or as a polishing filter after H2O2

Our take

This filter earns a place on a well only as the carbon stage after a chlorine or peroxide feed, or where a clean-testing well has a taste or odor problem that carbon addresses. Do not buy it as a standalone iron or sulfur fix; that is what the Matrixx inFusion, which bundles this tank with peroxide injection, is for. Four sizes to 20 GPM and the lifetime tank warranty are the strengths.
