Iron filter · 15 GPM · Treats iron, manganese, sediment · $536 at iSpring as of Oct 2026

The iSpring WGB32BM is the well-water version of iSpring's three-stage Big Blue system. Stage one is a 5-micron sediment cartridge, stage two a coconut-shell carbon block, and stage three the FM25B iron and manganese cartridge, rated for iron up to 3.0 ppm and manganese up to 1.0 ppm. It also handles rust, taste, odor and chlorine (up to 99%, maker claim). The base model makes no hydrogen sulfide claim; the WGB32B-MKS variant adds one.

Peak flow is 15 GPM through 1 in. NPT ports at 25-80 psi, 40-100 F and pH 6-11. The FM25B is rated for 50,000 gallons at 3.0 ppm iron; the sediment and carbon cartridges last 100,000 gallons or up to 12 months. There is no drain, power, salt or backwash. The unit is 24.5 by 8 by 28 in. and 55 lb. Stages one and two are described as third-party tested to NSF/ANSI standards; none is stated for the iron cartridge or system.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • Cartridge-based iron/manganese reduction with no drain, power or backwash
  • Much lower entry price than tank-style air-injection filters
  • In-stock Amazon listing for the exact model

Cons

  • Iron limit of 3 ppm and 50,000-gallon cartridge life mean frequent, costly cartridge changes on iron-heavy wells
  • No hydrogen sulfide claim on the base model (the WGB32B-MKS variant adds it)
  • 1-year warranty; no third-party certification for the iron cartridge

Our take

For a well with iron under 3 ppm and manganese under 1 ppm, the WGB32BM is the lowest-cost way to get iron reduction with no drain, power or backwash. The trade-off is the 50,000-gallon iron cartridge: on a heavier iron well you will change it often and the cost adds up. If your test shows more iron or any sulfur, a tank-style unit like the SpringWell WS1 is the better long-term buy.
