What sets SpringWell apart
The warranty is the headline. SpringWell covers fittings, media, tanks, housings, bypasses, valves and heads for life, limits electronic heads to 5 years per the product pages (7 per its warranty page) and 14 in. or larger mineral tanks to 10 years, and backs carbon systems with a 6-year or 1,000,000-gallon chlorine and chloramine performance guarantee. Returns are accepted within 6 months only for unused, uninstalled items, with a 10% restocking fee; installed systems fall under a 6-month Performance Promise, not a refund.
The well-water line is built around chemical-free air injection. The WS1 publishes limits of 7 ppm iron, 8 ppm hydrogen sulfide and 1 ppm manganese at 12 GPM in a single tank with a Bluetooth head and a 10+ year media life, and it anchors both combos. The SS1 softener and FS1 conditioner share the Bluetooth-and-DIY approach, with downloadable manuals and video walk-throughs.
What SpringWell does not publish is third-party system certification. None of the eight product pages states an NSF/ANSI listing; the 95% scale-prevention figure on the FutureSoft, the PFAS claim on the CF1 and the 99.9% figure on the UV are manufacturer claims. The UV page also shows the generic lifetime badge while the BlackComb manual gives 10 years on the reactor, so read the manual, not the badge.
Which SpringWell for your water test
Iron, manganese or hydrogen sulfide within 7, 1 and 8 ppm and pH 6.5-10: the WS1 ($2,231.25 on sale at springwellwater.com, Oct 2026). Add hardness you want gone: the WSSS1 combo ($3,123.75 sale) with the 32,000-grain SS1, limited to 11 GPM by the softener. Hardness you would rather condition without salt: the WSSF-1 ($3,213 sale), remembering that the FutureSoft leaves hardness minerals in the water and needs pH 7.0-9.5.
Hardness alone with no iron: the SS1 ($1,606.50 sale) for true softening, or the FS1 ($1,785 sale, up to 81 gpg) for scale control with no drain, salt or power. A bacteria result: the 15 GPM UV ($1,100.50 sale), but only after the water meets the manual's limits of 7 gpg hardness, 0.3 ppm iron and 0.05 ppm manganese, which on most wells means a WS1 or softener first.
The CF1 ($1,160.25 sale) is marketed for city water and does not treat iron or sulfur; it belongs after a WS1 if you want chlorine, chloramine or taste reduction. Put the $83.23 sediment canister ahead of any softener or UV, and a coarse spin-down ahead of that if your well pumps sand.
